can the history of art be altered by memory?
by Beatrice Vasile
This is our first journey together, and to get to know each other I’d like to ask you: how far do your memories reach?
Throughout the following pages, we’ll explore how experiences and fiction intertwine within our memories. The first step lies in the language that weaves the text and shapes who we are. Yet, in our search for traces of the past, we’ll discover ways to avoid stumbling into oblivion.
We’ll also find ways to preserve stories that cannot be left behind. Along the way, we’ll uncover visual traces of what we once wished life could be. Once we’re back home, we’ll let those echoes accompany our daily lives and decorate the passing of time.
Perhaps, by the end of this journey, we won’t find an answer. But maybe we’ll discover the next path. If you’d like, take my hand and let’s go together.
